| An annual award of Rupees one lakh for the most
outstanding political writer of the year Two annual scholarships of RS. 75,000 a year to be granted to a young journalist between the ages of 20-40 to carry out research on any media subject. An Annual memorial lecture given by an eminent speaker to be held every year on May 8. There will also be a one time annual award of Rs.30,000/- for the best young journalist under the age of 25 years who has shown the most promise in reporting on Environmental or Social Affairs. Mr. Bhatia's selected writings spanning 60 years to be published in book form. Witness to History (Haranand Publications, ISBN no.81-241-0537-5) was released in 1998. A collection of Prem Bhatia's writings covers the social and political documentation of the Middle Period of India's post-independence history published in book form "REFLECTIONS ALONG A POLITICAL JOURNEY" (Harnand Publications, ISBN 81-241-0871-4) released in 2002. The Indian Media : Illusion, Delusion and Reality is a volume of essays to honour the memory of the late Prem Bhatia, an outstanding journalist who was widely admired for his intellectual integrity, courage and commitment to truth was released by Shri.
